About Me

After seven years in corporate human resources software, I've transitioned to administration/customization of software systems in education.  Although my corporate career was a great opportunity to learn about process improvement and customer experience in software, I've loved the change and my new position at a Chicago-land school district since 2011.  One of the best things about working in education technology is the community.  The people serving in education technology are hugely collaborative and it makes the job very exciting.  Hopefully this website will serve the community well and inspire them as they have inspired me.

Most of my free time is spent practicing Irish fiddle and growing my veggies.  I also volunteer with The GardenWorks Project which is dedicated to reducing food insecurity by providing families in need of food assistance with home vegetable gardens and educational resources.  If you live in the Chicago-land area and are looking for volunteering or donation opportunities, I highly recommend taking a look.
